SENIOR MANAGER, ANALYTICS

Ares Interactive is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Analytics to join us in creating fun and innovative games. The role will help us with all facets of analytics within the company, including but not limited to, game, marketing, and live operations analytics. The role will also provide an opportunity to participate in business strategy development using user prediction models. Responsibilities
- Track in-game behaviors/metrics and provide analysis and recommendations for product changes and enhancements
- Perform data analysis to support the operation and development of games
- Understand marketing and game metrics and apply knowledge to identify analytical requirements that drive business profitability
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop scheduled and ad hoc reports from a variety of sources for operations, marketing, and game design
- Analyze marketing campaigns to determine efficiency and potential for optimization
- Lead end-to-end analytics strategy for both product (game) and marketing teams, delivering insights that drive engagement, monetization, and user acquisition.
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust data taxonomy and event tracking framework across all game titles and marketing channels.
- Develop standardized measurement methodologies for core KPIs, including LTV, retention, ARPU, ROAS, and attribution accuracy.
- Partner with Game Design, Product, and Live Ops teams to identify key behavioral metrics, design A/B tests, and evaluate game feature performance.
- Collaborate closely with User Acquisition and Growth Marketing teams to measure campaign effectiveness, optimize targeting, and improve marketing ROI.
- Own the relationship with the company’s Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP), ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment.
- Drive the development and maintenance of self-service dashboards and tools to empower internal stakeholders with timely and actionable insights.
- Serve as the voice of analytics in cross-functional meetings, translating complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, privacy regulations (e.g., ATT, GDPR), and evolving analytics tools to ensure best-in-class data practices.
- Proven experience with mobile gaming analytics: understanding key metrics such as retention, monetization, LTV, DAU/MAU, and churn
- Ability to quickly interpret player behavior and generate actionable insights within a mobile gaming context
- Practical experience designing and evaluating A/B tests, including: Sampling strategies, test design, statistical significance analysis and [Bonus] use of bootstrapping techniques for robust inference

Requirements
-  10+ years relevant work experience
- Very strong knowledge of one or more statistical tools such as R, Python, and Stata
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL (experience with MySQL and Vertica syntax a plus)
- Experience applying data mining techniques (i.e., classification, clustering, association mining, forecasting), statistics, and information retrieval methods to large data sets
- Ability to write queries, pull and manipulate data sets, and perform data analysis based on large datasets
- Experience analyzing data from a variety of sources and types, both internal and external
- Experience with Firebase(Google Analytics) and Looker
- Self-starter, able to work independently with a wide degree of latitude and creativity
- Proven track record in presenting complex results to users in an understandable manner
- Strong experience with BigQuery and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for large-scale data processing and analytics
- Hands-on experience with Airflow for scheduling and managing data pipelines

- Experience communicating well with executive management
- Strong skills with the MS Office suite of tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Experience with Atlassian Suite: JIRA and Confluence
